L. A. Guettler: A Mostly Accurate Biography

L. A. Guettler is a freelance technical writer by trade but a creative writer at heart. She handwrote her first "novel" at age 7: the adventures of two princesses in a magical forest populated by unicorns and talking rabbits. Thirtysome years later, her NSFW short prose and poetry was included in Wicked Women in Words' anthology Run Over by...An Omnibus.

L. A. is currently at the literary mercy of Red, a beer-drinking, cigar-smoking, man-ogling space babe. Red first appeared in the sci-fi/fairy tale mashup anthology Circuits & Slippers. She continued to kick ass and take names in various short stories before finally breaking into long form with the debut novel Red DarklingRed returned for new adventures in the follow-up novel Bonkpocalypse, and a cameo role in the interactive adventure Vacation on Planet Glor. She'll be back in a starring role in an as-yet-untitled fourth novel currently languishing in WIPland.

L. A. has two kids, three cats, two dogs, a handful of chickens, and a 110+-year old house with an indeterminate number of spirits. When she isn't agonizing over the keyboard or raising hell on social media, she enjoys crocheting, baking, kakuro, and other incongruous domestic pursuits. She even made her own butter once for some reason. She likes Chicago tavern-style pizza and her favorite flavor of La Croix is peach pear.

She hopes you are taking notes, as there will be a quiz on Monday.
